This Cookie Policy explains how [SET BEFORE LAUNCH] Bonbong Estate Ltd, trading as Bonbong Estate, uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on this website, as required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. “Strictly necessary” cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require consent; all other cookies (such as analytics) are only set with your consent.
2. Cookies we set
We currently set only strictly necessary cookies:
- NEXT_LOCALE — strictly necessary — remembers your language choice (English / 中文) — kept for up to 1 year.
- bonbong_cookie_consent — strictly necessary — records the choice you made on our cookie banner so we don’t ask again — kept for 12 months.
3. Browser local storage
Like cookies, local storage saves small amounts of data on your device. We use it for purposes that are strictly necessary to provide the service you ask for:
- Authentication — session and refresh tokens that keep you signed in to your account; removed when you sign out.
- Cookie consent — a copy of your consent choice.
- Interface preferences — for example your saved property comparison list.
4. Analytics — only with your consent
If you click “Accept” on our cookie banner, we load Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused tool that measures aggregate page traffic. It is not loaded before you consent, and it is never loaded if you choose “Essential only”.
We do not currently use Google Analytics or any advertising or marketing cookies. If we introduce any new analytics or marketing technology, it will be listed here first and will remain blocked until you have given consent.
5. Managing your preferences
You can change your choice at any time using the “Change cookie preferences” button below, which reopens the consent banner. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings — note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working (for example language selection and signing in).
